Romania vs Northern Ireland (EURO 2016 Qualifiers, 14.11.2014)

Romania-vs-Northern-Ireland-14-november-2014-prediction

The battle for the first place in Group F
sees Northern Ireland travel to Romania for a fourth consecutive win. The hosts managed everything since the last round of matches; they changed the coach, and vow to keep the trend to concede very few goals. In the first three games Romania conceded just one goal and have seven points out of the possible nine.

Anghel Iordanescu is aware of the danger Northern Ireland has and sated: “They are dangerous on the counter attack and from set-pieces. The match is extremely important; perhaps it’s the most important this year for us. It’s delicate because there are many problems.” And it is exactly those problems that might disrupt the pace of the game: the visitors have been plagued by recent injuries with Jamie Ward, McLaughlin and Stuart Dallas to miss the qualifiers.

Romania are not injury free either even if they are still unsure whether Razvan Rat will be fit to play. During the last training of the team, Iordanescu used Sepsi in the back line and Keseru as a sole striker. Whether this will also happen on Friday remains to be seen, but rumors have it Stancu should also be given the chance. For Northern Ireland Kyle Lafferty is the player to turn to for goals in hopes he can break through Romania’s defensive line.

The teams met four times and so far Northern Ireland won three games, and Romania only won once back in 1985. This time around Titan Bet gives the hosts the edge with 1.60 odds to win as opposed to Northern Ireland’s 6.50. Over 2.5 goals has 2.45 odds, Romania for both halves 2.45 and both teams to score 2.40. Keseru has 2.10 odds to score, Stancu and Rusescu 2.25 and Lafferty 2.25. We are betting 5 units on the coupled market of Romania to win and both teams to score at 4.33 odds from Titan Bet.

Almeria vs Atletico Madrid (La Liga, 24.09.2014)

Almeria-vs-Atletico-Madrid-24-september-2014-prediction

Atletico Madrid need to stop dropping points and become the team that won the title last season, as their fourth position is the table suggests qualification rounds for next year’s Champions League edition. As Atletico get ready to visit Almeria, Diego Simeone prepares to return to the bench and lead his team to victory.

Almeria shocked La Liga when they won against Real Sociedad and climbed up to the 10th place in the table. The win was their first in this league’s edition and Francesco Rodriguez will try to make his players believe they can win against the current title holders. Should they win against Atletico, they will have to play it smart in the midfield, where the likes of Koke and Gabi are setting up the play for the visitors. Almeria will be without Corona and Dubarbier who is serving a suspension.

Atletico might be at the beginning of their title defense, but Gabi has stated over and over again about the importance of the match against Almeria: “It’s a very important Wednesday’s game,” he told Marca. “With a draw against Celta we have to win and I think we will get a result. This game is a final.” The start of La Liga has seen Atletico with confusing results, which put them four points behind Barcelona. Mario Mandzukic has returned to team training after his nose surgery and might get to play in 10 days with a mask on. Before placing the bet take into account the fact that Atletico are yet to win against Almeria on their home ground, but we believe the visitors will play better than they have done before.

Cerci is tipped to replace Mandzukic in the attack, and with Diego Simeone on the bench, Unibet favors Atletico to win outright at 1.55. Almeria gets 6.30 for a win and both teams to score at 2.08; over 2.5 goals at 2.10 with Unibet; Almeria for both halves at 9.50, and the same betting market for Atletico at 2.28. Griezmann to score anytime is at 2.85; Cerci at 3,10 and Koke at 4.60. We are betting 8 units on Atletico Madrid to score in both halves at 2.65 with Unibet.

England vs Italy (World Cup Recap, 14.06.2014)

england-vs-italy-15-june-2014-recap

On June 14th we watched the match between Group D teams: England and Italy. There were a lot of expectations placed on England and few days before the match we could read plenty of articles describing the fierce mood of English team.

Steven Gerrard looked pretty self-confident when he told that England had no excuses to lose and Rooney was ready to score goal after goal. Unfortunately for England, the score was 2-1 in favor of Italy, the same as we predicted. So if you placed a bet on Italy winning, then you had pretty good odds (2.50 by bet365) for making some income.

Claudio Marchisio opened the scoring for Italy (35’), Daniel Sturridge leveled the score after he got an assist from Rooney (37’) and Mario Balotelli netted the second goal for Italy (50’).

Initially, the bets were placed on Italy and they were the slight favorites in this meeting. It means that there was a pressure on England from the very start. However, it wasn’t the only thing that challenged English players. The hot and humid tropical climate of Brazil had its effect on the representatives of the mild European climate.

England played some good football, but they couldn’t get in front most of the time and thus didn’t have many chances to score. “I don’t think we deserved to lose the game. I thought we played some good stuff, created a few chances, so I think we were quite unfortunate. But that’s football, that’s how it goes,” said Rooney in his after-match-interview.

The next match England are going to play against Uruguay, which are a strong opponent. Nonetheless, England stands pretty good chances, if they play as good as against Italy and Uruguay show as bad performance as they did in their shocking match against Costa Rica.

As to Italy, they had some really good moments (such as impressive attacks and strong defense) and they are expected to repeat their performance when playing against Costa Rica.

Result: bet won

England vs Italy (World Cup Prediction, 14.06.2014)

england-vs-italy-15-june-2014-prediction

England and Italy are going to meet at Arena Amazonia this Saturday evening. The match is going to be pretty interesting due to the fact that the outcome would be rather difficult to predict.

Both teams stand in a very similar position. Italy are not the domineering favorites and their squad is far away from all-star Germany or Argentina, nonetheless, they remain dangerous opponents. The same can be said about England. No one expects England to claim the victory at the World Cup and everyone talks about when the England squad are actually going home.

Nonetheless, England are not very easy to beat and they have two key-players such as Wayne Rooney and Jack Wilshere. Wayne Rooney has already played in two World Cups, but it’s not that he was on the top; so this time he has to think of something strategic and seize the moment (in the best-case scenario he can play only one more Cup). Ladbrokes gives 7.00 odds that Rooney would be the first goalscorer.

SBT-12-june-2014-img01

Whether it’s good or bad, both teams are not so great and they have to develop something for their game not to get out of the group stage. I thought of saying that the score would be 0-0, but most definitely someone will score at least one goal; if it is Italy, then the odds are 6.00 that Mario Balotelli would be the first goalscorer.

This game is equally crucial for Italy and England, however, they still have 2 games to play and if they win they both have good chances to advance. The weather is going to be hot and challenge the players; still it would be easier for Italy to cope with high temperatures, while Foggy Albion will have to struggle a bit. Another disfavor of England is that Danny Wellbeck may not play (he was absent during training on Wednesday) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain won’t probably recover in time for this game.

Keeping in mind all these factors, I would say that Italy is going to win the match (2.50) at one of our bookmakers.
