BAYER-LEVERKUSEN-VS-HOFFENHEIM-23-march-2014-recap

Bayer Leverkusen is succumbing further into the realm of missing out on everything they have built in the first half of Bundesliga after losing 2-3 against Hoffenheim. Even with such result we won the bet placed with 12BET on an odd number of goals.

This defeat was Leverkusen’s fifth in the last six matches, and they are on the 4th place, yet definitely not looking like a team that high up in the Bundesliga table. They even had over 60% ball possession rate and they could have done better in the end, yet Kissling, Bender and Rolfes cannot carry out an entire team.

The score was opened on the 14th minute after Salihovic converted a penalty that left the entire Bay Arena stunned. Kiessling leveled closer to the end of the first half, yet for some reason Hyypia can’t explain himself why his team played so badly in the first half. Just barely a minute after Leverkusen’s goal, Hoffenheim took the lead through Volland after an assist from Roberto Firmino.

Ten minutes into the second half, Rolfes made it 2-2 after a power shot from inside the box that left Leverkusen with hopes of getting away with at least a point. But Hoffenheim managed to get away with a victory and get revenge for when Leverkusen beat them with a highly controversial goal.

Leverkusen is now 30 points behind the Bundesliga leaders and Gladbach is closing in on the last Champions League spot in which Bayer is now residing. By the looks of it, Bundesliga is about to get interesting as the battle for Europa League intensifies.

Result: +7 units, bet won
