Borussia Dortmund vs. Wolfsburg
Sunday, May 11th 2013, 14:30 CET
Volkswagen Arena was sold out for the game between the reigning champions and the local team. Wolfsburg proved that it’s possible to be the underdog and still manage to show a good game, forcing Dortmund to come from behind and end this game in a draw, when it could have ended so much worse.
Wolfsburg started off better, but Dortmund was the one to score first on the 5th minute through Bender, who finished off a free kick from Nuri Sahin. The Wolves regrouped and started the attack only to restore the draw 10 minutes later, through a player that just transferred from Dortmund to Wolfsburg during the winter. Perisic scored twice in the span of 10 minutes to bring advantage to his team, and was assisted by Olic. Naldo delighted the fans 4 minutes later to scare a beautiful goal in the 26th minute, and they never stopped attacking even though the goals on their part never came.
Dortmund found a Lewandowski who hesitated in some crucial moments during the game, and it took upon Marco Reus to score two late goals and level Borussia Dortmund with their opponents. The defense of the reigning champions was on the floor, and they could easily say that the draw was lucky, and they managed to secure the second place in the Bundesliga ahead of Bayer Leverkusen.
With this point, Dortmund realized they still have some areas to work on to make the team better, and I lost the bet I placed on them with odds on best betting software with multiple bookmakers by BET-IBC.
