Chelsea vs. Southampton
Saturday, March 30th 2013, 8:00 CET
After the bad luck I had in the two World Cup Qualifiers matches I bet on, now I am going to try my chances with a more predictable game- the one between Chelsea and Southampton that is going to take place this Saturday in the English Premier League. I am going to use the odds from Bet365.
Currently, the Blues are on the third position in the rankings, a point clear of Tottenham in the race for the Champions League race. This weekend they will have to be strong in front of a threatening Southampton, who succeeded an amazing 3-1 victory against Liverpool in the last round of fixtures.
Chelsea are going to be overwhelmingly busy in the next period of time, so they will have to keep their balance in order to avoid a crack. They are scheduled to play four times in eight days, including their Premier League clash with Sunderland next Sunday and the Europa League tie with Rubin Kazan.
To freshen up his line-up, Benitez might consider relying on Oscar, Marko Marin, Yossi Benayoun and Victor Moses; while strikers Demba Ba and Fernando Torres will have to share the workload up front.
Last time these teams met at Stamford Bridge, Southampton managed to secure a 2-2 draw, just days before Nigel Adkins was dumped as manager. What should be really worrying and at the same time a bit funny for Southampton, is that the talented left-back Luke Shaw demonstrated his sympathy for Chelsea on Twitter during the week.
This being said, I deeply expect Chelsea to win this game, so I will place 7 units on their victory at 2.10. I used the odds from Bet365.
Chelsea to win at 2.10.
