Inter Milan vs. Juventus

As predicted, Inter and Juventus provided us with an interesting match, full of suspense and fought up until the end. I also won my best placed on Juventus, with 7.5 units won at 2.25 odds from William Hill. This game also recorded a first, Esteban Cambiasso’s red card on the 95th minute, the first in his 227 matches with Inter, after a pretty nasty foul on Giovinco. Regarding the result of the game, Cambiasso said: “We let in a very early goal. Then we reacted and showed we didn’t want to accept a result like that. We tried until the end but couldn’t manage to turn things around.”
Juventus being the guests opened the scoring table pretty early in the game, in the third minute, through Fabio Quagliarella whose strike from a long range left the opponents with no room to react. Inter fought back, and they must have gotten a really good pep talk, seeing as the equalizer came on the 54th minute when Rodrigo Palacio breezed through Juve’s defense, after Cassano gave him the pass for an easy finish. This was the end of it, as Inter could not breach Juventus’ defense any further, even though they tried through several players, including Zanetti and Cambiaso.
Bianconeri were obviously not ok with such a turnout, seeing as their goal was a victory before their clash with Bayern in the Champions League, so Alessandro Matri gave the champions that much needed lead, when he met Quagliarella to get the pass and then move quickly to score, just after 6 minutes after Inter equalized. Juventus is now one step closer to the title, even if they choose to remain cautious, and take one game at a time. Andrea Pirlo led an excellent game, and even had a magnificent 20-yeard shot, but it never came to fruition, as the scoring table closed at 1-2.
Nerazzuri were disappointed with such a result, seeing as revenge was one of the main themes of this game, it always with these teams, but even more now, seeing as inter was the first team to defeat Juventus on their new stadium last November. Morati said his team deserved a point, Buffon said their team was always out for revenge seeing as Inter ended their strike of going 49 games unbeaten.
Juventus finds itself on top of Serie A’s table, with 9 points over the second placed Napoli. Inter is on 6th place, but with a game in hand, seeing as they still have a game left to play against Sampdoria, and the Nerazzuri are aiming for the third place, that will send them in the qualification round for Champions League.
Result:+7.5 units, bet won
