Italy-vs-Azerbaijan-10-october-2014-prediction

Italy is recovering from an embarrassing World Cup exit, by performing wonderfully so far in EURO 2016 qualification matches. Group H has three leaders so far, and while waiting for Croatia or Bulgaria to take a misstep, Italy needs to win all their matches. Against Azerbaijan, the Azzurri have seemingly an easy task of securing the three points.

Italy won the first match against Norway with goals from Bonucci and Zaza and looks more solid under Antonio Conte’s guidance. Further proof for this statement would be the fact that Norway didn’t manage a single shot on target which could also happen once more to Azerbaijan. Conte has also left Balotelli out of the squad, taking over Graziano Pelle from Southampton. Italy has too much individual power, and as a whole they are a much stronger team than their opponents, plus they play at home, which would also add to being favorites factor. During yesterday’s training session, Antonio Conte tried out a3-5-2 approach which saw Pirlo starting the match alongside Dortmund’s Immobile and Zaza, which is an interesting side of events considering he retired after the World Cup.

Azerbaijan lost the opening match against Bulgaria, and even with UEFA extending the number of teams taking part in the tournament, the visitors don’t stand too many chances. They only have one win in five matches, against opposition even weaker than they are, and they only managed to score twice, which puts their ability to score past Buffon and doubt, with Aliyev being given 8.00 odds to score anytime. During their previous head to head matches, Italy won both, without allowing Azerbaijan to get anywhere near the goal.

Bet365 has confidence in Italy securing the win without too much fuss, and gives them 1.09 for an outright win as opposed to Azerbaijan’s 26.00. Should you go for a double chance bet of Italy or draw Bet365 gives you 1.01 odds. Italy for both halves has 1.31 odds, same market for the visitors has 41.00 odds. Italy to win to nil has 1.50 odds, to score in both halves 1.44, and if you plan to go for the outright win, the odds will only allow you to go for the accumulator betting market. Immobile, Destro and Osvaldo have 1.80 odds to score anytime, Zaza 1.95 and Marchisio 3.50. We are betting on over 2.5 goals in the second half at 2.75 with Bet365.
