juventus buffon sent off

Betfair let us back Carlos Tevez to score and Juventus to win, but we lost the 7 units placed on them as the match against Lazio ended in a draw and a lot of drama, due to Gianluiggi’s Buffon sending off half way through the first half.

The straight red card was given to Buffon on the 27th minute after a clash with Miroslav Klose. The referee gave away a penalty, which the Juve’s goalkeeper wasn’t able to stop. It was Candevra who scored and gave the hosts the lead, but Juventus never gave up, and kept pushing. Llorente was denied twice the goal by Berisha, but the equalizer and the last goal of the match came on the 60th minute through the same Juve player.

Llorente received the ball from Lichtsteiner’s cross and put it straight into the net. After that Lazio came back into the play and tried Storari’s goal line several times, but weren’t able to score. The strength of Juve’s defense was tested again in the last seconds of the match when Diao shot into the far post.

Considering Lazio had one more player on the field for the majority of the match, this result does not look like a worthy draw, but rather a loss of a match they should have won. They are now placed on the 9th place, four points short of the last Europa League place occupied by Internazionale Milano.

Juventus on the other hand is still on the first place in Serie A with nine points over Roma, who is set to play today against Hellas Verona and must take advantage of this result.

Result: bet lost with odds from Betfair
