LIVERPOOL-VS-NEWCASTLE-UNITED-11-may-2014-recap

Liverpool finished off their Premier League campaign with a win, and we won the bet placed with bet365 on both teams to score and over 2.5 goals. Even though Liverpool won, the fact that they nearly missed on a Premier League trophy was clearly written on the player’s and manager’s faces as they applauded the supporters who stood behind them even as the title slipped through their fingers.

Liverpool started off the match as the team with the purpose and not the one that lost the title after the 0-2 defeat to Chelsea London. The Reds opened the score on the 20th minute when Skrtel scored…in his own net, as the ball he was trying to clear ended up in Mignolet’s net. That shocked but didn’t put the team down and Liverpool went all guns blazing on Newcastle only for Daniel Agger’s shot to end up in Tim Krul’s hands.

Mignolet saved his team on the 27th minute with a fantastic save and the first half ended with Newcastle leading on the scoreboard. In the second half Steven Gerrard assisted both Liverpool goals with a copycat action of executing a free kick. For the equalizer he passed it to Daniel Agger and for the second goal the receiver of his pass was Daniel Sturridge.

In the end Liverpool couldn’t have done more for the title as City won their respective match with 2-0, were crowned Champions and what the Reds should concentrate on is their great form this year, that even if in need of a few adjustments is still one they should be proud of.

Result: +5,5 units, bet won
