MANCHESTER-CITY-VS-CHELSEA-15-february-2014-recap

We assumed the FA Cup tie between Manchester City and Chelsea London will end in a draw, and we lost the bet placed with odds from bet365. Manchester City won against Chelsea with 2-0, and Manuel Pellegrini stated that his side were in a slight advantage as their midweek match against Sunderland was postponed because of the weather conditions.

With this win the Citizens avenged the defeat they suffered against Chelsea in Premier League, and left the Blues without another potential trophy. Chelsea which stands on the first place in Premier League managed only two shots at the Etihad, and strangely enough none were on target. The score was opened on the 16th minute when Jovetic capitalized on Edin Dzeko’s pass.

Jose Mourinho intended to boost his attack and introduced Fernando Torres and their most recent signing Mohamed Salah in the second half. Even after that it was City who was pulling the strings on the field, as Samir Nasri was the most dangerous Citizen on the pitch. He was the one who scored City’s second goal on the 67th minute, after a combination of passes with David Silva.

It would have been 3-0, but Lescott’s goal was disallowed for offside, and for maybe the first time Jose Mourinho admitted there was a team superior to his side. City has merely two days to rest as they are supposed to meet Barcelona at the Etihad Stadium for the first leg of their Champions League last sixteen clash.

Result: -6 units, bet lost
