Paris Saint Germain vs. Evian Thonon Gaillard

Saturday, December 8th 2012, 8:00 CET

The football teams Paris Saint Germain and Évian Thonon Gaillard are meeting this Saturday at the French League I. This year, Paris Saint Germain appear to be willing to go as far as possible in the Champions League, or at least this was what Jeremy Menez stated. The giants from League 1 have defeated Porto with 2-1, securing their top spot in Group A.

What I appreciate the most about Menez is that he keeps inducing his team not to underestimate any opponents, no matter who they are. In fact, I think this is their main key to success. This Saturday, I expect they will be fighting against the less known Évian Thonon Gaillard in the same manner.

The two teams met previously this year on the 4th of February, when PSG imposed themselves achieving a 3-1 score. Earlier, they met on the 18th of September when the result ended in a 2-2 draw. Regarding the last five confrontations of each team, Paris Saint Germain comes with 3 victories over Porto, ESTAC Troyes and Dynamo Kiev, one lost match in front of OGC Nice and one draw with AS Saint-Etienne. On the other hand, Évian Thonon Gaillard have only 2 victories, 2 draws and one lost match.

All in all, given their latest results, I am going to place a bet on Paris Saint Germain’s victory. I bet 10 units at 1.22. The odds I used are from William Hill.

  1. “I’m going to be honest with you. We focus a lot more for Champions League matches. It’s not good, but we give a lot more of ourselves in this competition.” ….these were the words of Thiago Silva. Judging by what he has stated, I am afraied PSG won’t play their best football on Saturday…I expect a 0-0 or a 1-1 draw 🙂
