Pescara vs. A.S. Roma

A.S. Roma won the match against Pescara, and one goal was enough to achieve it. This also implies that I won the bet I made on Roma’s victory. With this victory, they’ve marked a happy return for the coach Zdenek Zeman to the club. Mattia Destro turned A.S. Roma into the leader of the match within just five minutes. After that, he missed several other chances to score, but in the end that proved to be insignificant.

Pescara was about to establish the balance in the closing stages, but unfortunately, they weren’t lucky enough. Until now, A.S Roma has only lost three of its past four away games. They achieved a perfect start when the goalkeeper of Pescara, Mattia Perin, could only parry the 35-meter free kick of Francesco Totti into the path of Destro for a simple tap-in. Destro had the chance to double his tally, but Perin managed to palm away his header from the center of the area following the cross of Totti.

Pescara had their chances to score, but they didn’t manage to fructify any of them. For example, Elvis Abbruscato could have risen the level of the match at the end, but his effort was simply deflected out by Ivan Piris, the defender of A.S. Roma.

All in all, it was a clear match, and no team had any reason of feeling embarrassed of their performance, even if both of them could have done a bit better.

Result:+5.3 units, bet won

    • In fact, I think Roma did very well…they had no need in getting exhausted by trying to mark more goals if that wasn’t necessary

  1. Nineteen years…almost two decades have passed since the last match played between Roma and Pescara…I remembered that was at the Stadio Adriatico. I was expecting something more spectacular…
