Queens Park Rangers vs. Sunderland
Friday, March 1st 2013, 7:00 CET
It seems that the fact Queens Park Rangers haven’t managed to defeat Sunderland in 22 years wasn’t enough reason to blindly believe in a Sunderland’s victory. Last Saturday, the Rangers defeated Sunderland in a spectacular match at Loftus Road Stadium, making me lose the 10 units I bet at Bet365.
When Steven Fletcher broke the deadlock in the 20th minute, everything seemed to go just the way I had been expecting. Who would have believed that would have been the only goal of Sunderland from that night and moreover, who would have believed that QPR would have won the match with 3 goals scored? Still, that’s exactly what happened: in the 30th minute, Loïc Remy re-established the balance on the scoring table, and in the 70th minute, Queens Park Rangers took the leads with the help of Andros Townsend, who brought the second goal for this team.
As if it wouldn’t have been enough, precisely in the 90th minute of the game, Jermaine Jenas added the third goal for QPR, leaving Sunderland with no other option, than just to accept their defeat.
The manager of QPR, Harry Redknapp, expressed his opinion extremely delighted: “QPR’s victory against Sunderland has opened up relegation battle”.
Result:-10 units, bet lost
