SC Freiburg vs. Bayer Leverkusen

For the last match of the German Budesliga this season, I decided to gamble on the clash between SC Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen. This is a battle for Bayer Leverkusen to stay on second place, and for SC Freiburg to hope to jump one position to 7th place. For this football prediction I will keep it a bit shorter, because I am not going to watch this soccer game (the FA Cup seems a bit more important, and I have more at stake their sports betting wise).
SC Freiburg is currently 8th placed, with the same amount of points (44) as Hamburger SV just above them. But they’re closely followed by Hoffenheim (43), Kaiserslautern (43) and VFB Stuttgart (42), all of which have a better goal difference than SC Freiburg. This means that just like Bayer Leverkusen, SC Freiburg will hope to win today in order not to fall lower in the Bundesliga.
In their last five games, SC Freiburg only won twice and lost three times. Pouplin and Jaeger are out with injuries.
Bayer Leverkusen are currently on the second place in Bundesliga. They have no chance of jumping higher than that, but they can go lower. With 65 points so far, they’re just 3 points ahead of Bayer Munich, a team which arguably has an easier game today against Stuttgart. The goal difference for Bayer Munich (+40) is clearly superior to that of Bayer Leverkusen (+19). In this case, a loss for Leverkusen and a win for Bayer Munich will make the Bavarians the runner-ups of this edition of the Bundesliga.
In their last 10 head-to-head games, Bayer Leverkusen won 7 times, there were 2 draws, and SC Freiburg won once (way back in 2004). The line for Bayer Leverkusen at 1.78 on bwin is attractive enough for a 4-unit bet. I’m going to go with that football bet.
Bayer Leverkusen to win for 4 units
