Recap
VfB Stuttgart 1 – 0 FC Schalke 04
Saturday, March 5th 2011, 15.30 CET
There goes the first game of the weekend for me. Earlier today, I predicted in this post that the teams would draw today. I made quite a large bet, 4 units on it. The match started dramatically, with a penalty for the host team in the 14th minute and a red card for Schalke 04. The guests were left without the young defender Benedikt Höwedes and managed to end the game with only a difference of 1 goal.
That was a blast! And at half-time, manager Felix Magath had to make 3 changes! Schalke went a little better IMO after the break, and did not rely so much on Neuer as in the first half. Still, they couldn’t turn the score around.
As for me, I lost 4 units! I may have been over-optimistic with my bet, but I would have never predicted the red card at the beginning. I’m currently down to 96 units, with one game lost out of one.
