Werder Bremen vs. Hannover 96

Friday, February 1st 2013, 11:30 CET

The Bundesliga match between the German football teams Werder Bremen and Hannover 96 ended in a 2-0 home victory of Werder Bremen. This means that I won the bet I placed on Werder Bremen’s victory.

Werder’s striker, Nils Petersen broke the deadlock in the 85th minute of the match, when everything seemed to point to a dull 0-0 draw. After the first goal, Bremen continued dominating the match, using an offensive strategy. That was how, within only 3 minutes after the first goal, the same Nils Petersen scored the second.

After losing in front of Dortmund and Hamburg, the result of this match brought Werder their first points of 2013 and made them move up to the 25th place in the Bundesliga charts, just one position behind the defeated Hannover 96.

On the other hand, Hannover 96 failed to take advantage of any of their chances. Moreover, in the 41st minute, one of the team’s best players, Mohamed Abdellaoue had to leave the game after injuring his knee in a collision with Kevin De Bruyne from Werder Bremen. As a consequence, Konstantin Rausch had to replace him.

All in all, Werder Bremen proved to be extremely focused and dedicated to winning this match, and the fact they scored twice in the last few minutes of the match was definitely not just a matter of luck.

Result:+4 units, bet won
