Stiviano for posting a photo of him alongside Magic Johnson on his Instagram profile. The statement received criticism even from President Barack Obama, as well as several players like LeBron James.
Johnson said, “I will never go to a Clippers game again while he was the owner of the team.” The team’s athletes threatened to strike but opted to wear black socks and warm-up shirts inside out, in repudiation of their then president’s words. The franchise was sold a short time later.
